The Dutch hotel group, citizenM, will grow its presence in the United States with the opening of a second property in Washington, D.C.

Located in the desirable NoMa area of the capital city, citizenM Washington DC NoMa will boast 296 guestrooms across 10 floors. All rooms are equipped with top-of-range amenities and are entirely controlled via an iPad. The hotel also comprises 3 societyM meeting rooms as well as spacious living spaces decorated with contemporary art. The hotel was designed by citizenM's long-term partner Concrete.

Local artist Hannah Whitaker created Circulations for citizenM Washington DC NoMa. The art installation surrounds the hotel's façade and pays homage to the 'generative potential of human error in the face of digital automatisation'. A second piece by Whitaker, called Vibrations, carries the same theme into the hotel's interior. Pieces by other local artists also adorn the walls of the hotel's guestrooms.

A press preview of the hotel is scheduled for 15th September, followed by a public one from 16th-18th September. A local chef will design a special menu for the event and an installation by artist Amber Pinkerton will be mounted on the façade of the building.
