Development Pipeline Scheduled for late 2025

Limelight Mammoth

Reservations Now Open at Limelight Mammoth, California's New Basecamp for Year-Round Adventure

Limelight Mammoth is now accepting reservations, marking the official debut of the Limelight Hotels brand in California. Set to open in late 2025, the new property will introduce a new caliber of elevated alpine hospitality to the heart of Mammoth Lakes, offering 124 guest rooms, 25 suites, and 15 private residences, along with a lounge and private club, Mammoth Lakes Mountain Club.

Surrounded by the breathtaking backdrop of the Sierra Nevada, the hotel features over 8,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, including the Ridgeline Ballroom, which accommodates up to 300 guests for receptions, and the Crystal Lake Boardroom for more intimate occasions. With panoramic views from the Viewline Plaza and a setting that invites creativity and connection, Limelight Mammoth redefines the mountain meeting experience.

After a day in the Eastern Sierra, guests can retreat to spaces designed to recharge and refresh. Limelight Mammoth offers approachable and stylish rooms and suites, each inclusive of modern kitchenettes, custom bathtubs, as well as gear storage and sweeping views. Thoughtfully designed to feel like a home away from home, Limelight Residences Mammoth blends elevated mountain living with everyday comfort. The limited collection of 15 residences, ranging from two to five bedrooms, features open living spaces, high-end kitchens, full laundry rooms, and generous storage, with private elevators for added ease and convenience. The result is a sophisticated yet unpretentious retreat, perfect for families and groups looking to settle in and make the most of Mammoth.

The Limelight Lounge serves as Mammoth's vibrant gathering place, blending alpine energy with relaxed, all-day comfort. Guests can enjoy wood-fired pizzas, shareable plates, craft cocktails, and classic après favorites. Limelight Mammoth will also debut a robust lineup of signature programming across the property, including Limelight Live—a curated series of dynamic musical experiences, from intimate lobby sets to surprise pop-ups, featuring a mix of locally loved and nationally recognized artists. Additionally, the property will introduce Adventure Architects, offering bespoke itineraries tailored to guests' interests, whether exploring the mountains or discovering city gems. Crafted by in-house experts, these experiences include luxury transportation in premium Audi vehicles, ensuring every journey is seamless and elevated.

Sustainability is core to the all-electric Limelight Mammoth, which uses efficient heat pumps for low-energy heating and cooling, supports clean transportation with an EV fleet and charging stations, and manages rain and snowmelt to prevent erosion. Locally sourced materials, like reclaimed wood and stone, are repurposed throughout, while large windows, native landscaping, and indoor-outdoor spaces reduce energy use and connect the hotel to its alpine surroundings. Built with resilient infrastructure, Limelight Mammoth sets a new benchmark for sustainable hillside hospitality.

The property is also home to Mammoth Lakes Mountain Club, the destination's newest private ski and social club—exclusively at Limelight Mammoth. From the team behind Aspen Mountain Club and Snowmass Mountain Club, the club combines refined design, thoughtful service, and year-round mountain access. Member perks include a stylish lounge, all-day bar, semi-private workspaces, outdoor terrace with fire pits, ski valet, private lockers, and direct gondola access, plus ski passes, parking, access to the fitness center, pool, and spa, and a full calendar of exclusive events.

Limelight Mammoth is nestled at the base of California's most iconic peaks, offering access to year-round adventure. In the winter, guests can carve fresh tracks at Mammoth and June Mountains, while the warmer months invite exploration through hiking trails, biking, and the thrill of climbing the Via Ferrata. Year-round, The Village at Mammoth adds to the experience with local shopping, dining, and après options just minutes from the hotel.

Limelight Mammoth joins the growing Limelight Hotels portfolio, which includes destinations in Aspen, Snowmass, Ketchum, and Denver, Boulder (opening this month), and Charleston (opening in 2028). Limelight Mammoth will extend the brand's signature spirit of authentic hospitality to California's Sierra Nevada.
