Kimpton’s Next Midtown New York Hotel Unveils Name and Details Ahead of March 2026 Opening
Kimpton, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts' luxury & lifestyle portfolio, with partner Extell Development Company announced the official name of its latest NYC hotel: Kimpton Era Midtown New York. The hotel, positioned in the center of Manhattan's vibrancy, is a stunning example of design and connection. Hospitality titan Apicii will operate the restaurant and beverage program, creating a vibrant hub for locals and visitors to converge. The 33-story ground-up newbuild hotel is now taking reservations for stays March 2026 and beyond.
Kimpton Era will offer a dynamic and contemporary experience throughout its 529 guest rooms and inspired social spaces, brought to life by New York City-based SLCE Architects and interior design studio INC Architecture & Design. Curated with the best of NYC in mind, Kimpton Era will be an overnight home for both the traveling executive and the tourist, offering abundant social spaces to host, connect, and engage.
At Kimpton Era, travelers can expect a touch of classicism, comfort and art—a Kimpton hallmark. Inside each jewel box room, where everything fits together perfectly to offer 'everything you need and nothing you don't', a window seat allows guests to fully experience the magic of New York City just outside. Apicii has developed four bespoke, destination restaurant and bar concepts which it will operate at the Kimpton Era: a street-level Latin Restaurant & Taqueria, an upscale NY Brasserie, an all-day coffee and cocktail lounge, and an Asian izakaya with 360-degree views of Rockefeller Center and Radio City.
