Hampton by Hilton Opens Its First Hotel in Cusco and Strengthens Its Presence in Peru

Hampton by Hilton, one of the most recognized brands in Hilton's (NYSE: HLT) global portfolio, officially celebrated the opening of Hampton by Hilton Cusco, its first property in the historic capital of the Inca Empire and the brand's third hotel in Peru, alongside Hampton by Hilton Lima San Isidro and Hampton by Hilton Arequipa, developed and operated by Metro Hotels.

With an investment of US$20 million, Hampton by Hilton Cusco is projected to be a new landmark in the imperial city. Located 500 meters from the Koricancha Temple and 1 kilometer from the Plaza de Armas, the hotel is integrated into the cultural experience of a city recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. With 120 rooms and a concept that combines comfort, value, and genuine hospitality, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi, a wellness area with a jacuzzi, a 24/7 market, and a meeting room for up to 60 people. Guests enjoy the traditional Hampton hot breakfast every morning, with waffle stations and options such as eggs, bacon, fruit, cereal, and yogurt.

A project promoted by Metro Hotels

The hotel is owned by Metro Hotels and operated by the company with extensive experience in hotel development and management in Latin America.

Hilton strengthens its position in the region

During the ceremony, Pablo Maturana, Hilton's Vice President of Development for Latin America, highlighted the importance of Cusco in the regional strategy and the value of the partnership with Metro Hotels:

Hilton's commitment to the Caribbean and Latin America is reflected in a regional portfolio of more than 290 hotels in operation and around 140 projects in development. Globally, Hampton by Hilton has more than 3,100 properties, including ~65 in the Caribbean and Latin America, and nearly 25 in development in the region.
