The Sitio, a 20-room boutique hotel designed for surfers, creatives, and culture-driven travelers, will make its official debut on March 1, 2026 in the heart of the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Located within Atlantic Park, a first-of-its-kind development anchored by North America's first Wavegarden Cove surf lagoon, The Sitio will offer a minimalist, design-forward retreat at the intersection of surf culture, art, and music.
Conceived as a modern coastal sanctuary, The Sitio blends clean-lined interiors with laid-back surf energy. Throughout the hotel, guests will find a warm, understated aesthetic that allows the lagoon and ocean light to take center stage, complemented by thoughtful details and local touches.
Each thoughtfully designed room features authentic Belgian Libeco linens, a surf rack, curated minibar with local and recovery-focused snacks, and hand-selected artwork. Select rooms offer private balconies with sweeping lagoon views. Public spaces showcase vintage surf and Virginia Beach photography alongside largely abstract works by artists from around the world—many exhibited together for the first time—including curated lithographs by JR and colorful pieces by Virginia Beach-born artist Schuyler Beecroft.
Guests can also enjoy access to a private infinity-edge pool and deck overlooking the surf lagoon, lounge areas, and exclusive programming tied to Atlantic Park's year-round events. The concierge team can arrange surf sessions, private lessons, or even deliver a guest's board directly to their room, complete with custom wax. Culinary offerings will include light bites, natural wines, and craft cocktails, with seamless access to Atlantic Park restaurants such as Nami Nori, Wiseguy Pizza, Mi Vida, The Grill, Milk & Honey, and more.
