New Virginia Guesthouse Hotel & Conference Center Set to Elevate Charlottesville’s Meetings & Events Landscape

Virginia Guesthouse Hotel & Conference Center is bringing a new level of focus on meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) as it prepares to open its doors on April 6, 2026. The vibrant new hub situated on the Grounds of University of Virginia announces its conference center and flexible meeting spaces designed to meet the evolving needs of planners across corporate, association, and academic sectors. 

Virginia Guesthouse will offer more than 25,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space configurable to accommodate gatherings up to 1,000 attendees with flexibility and style. A range of gathering spaces intended to foster connection, discovery and celebration, include: 

  • The Study, a 1,280-square-foot space ideal for meetings, trainings or breakout sessions for up to 120 attendees in a pair of cozy, conjoined rooms on the lower level.  
  • The Gallery, also on the lower level, offers an additional reception space to welcome up to 100 guests. 
  • The Main Hall on the first floor boasts 3,000 sq. ft. and accommodates up to 275 guests, complemented by a 984 sq. ft Foyer Space, accommodating up to 100 guests and perfect for registration, networking, or receptions.  
  • The Poplar Parlor is the private dining room of The Poplar restaurant, offering 1,430 sq. ft., for up to 60 guests. Additionally, The Poplar Loggia is an open-air terrace spanning 1,695 sq. ft., lovely for outdoor receptions and gatherings of up to 60 guests. 
  • The Grand Ballroom on the second floor stretches 9,800 sq. ft. to accommodate nearly 1,000 guests. It can be divided into three equal sections, each hosting up to 300 attendees. The Ballroom Foyer adds 4,235 sq. ft., supporting up to 400 guests.  
  • Four flexible Studios, ranging from 840 to 1,488 sq. ft., can be subdivided into seven individual breakout rooms. The elegant Drawing Room spans 1,058 sq. ft. and accommodates up to 75 guests, while its Loggia, offering 1,590 sq. ft. and up to 75 guests, provides smaller, more intimate settings for private gatherings. 

All meeting and event spaces are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, modern audiovisual technology, and adaptable furniture to support everything from executive retreats to hybrid conferences. On-site, full-service catering, offers a range of menus and options for attendees.
