The Westin Denver International Airport Unveils Reimagined Meeting Spaces

The Westin Denver International Airport has completed the first phase of its multi-phase property transformation, unveiling a comprehensive redesign of its 37,000 square feet of meeting and event space, thoughtfully reimagined to support focus, flow, and a more balanced meeting experience. The debut signals a continued investment in the future of meetings and events at Denver International Airport.

Directly connected to the airport’s Jeppesen Terminal, the property remains the only full-service hotel with direct access to the airport. The updated function spaces further position the hotel as a leading destination for meetings, conferences, and corporate events in Colorado.

Inspired by the Westin brand identity, the refreshed design narrative draws on water's role in shaping the landscape of the West, expressed through carpet patterns and a layered palette that blends organic, water-inspired forms with geometric references to agricultural irrigation and city grids. The concept also nods to the broader context of Denver International Airport's celebrated public art program, including the landmark "Outside In: Hotel and Transit Center Public Artwork" collection, weaving a sense of place and regional charm throughout the meeting environment. The vision comes to life through a sophisticated, contemporary aesthetic grounded in a calming mix of warm tans, layered greys and deep navy tones, complemented by new furnishings, integrated greenery and LED lighting that enhance both function, atmosphere, and well-being. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the pre-function areas flood the spaces with natural light while framing panoramic views of the Colorado Front Range, reinforcing a setting that feels open and inviting.

The property's 21 event rooms and 15 breakout spaces have been thoughtfully updated with refined finishes and improved layouts. Adjustments to select boardroom configurations, including enhancements to the Dogwood and Den meeting rooms, enable more fluid session transitions and breakout functionality, supporting ease of movement and natural pacing that keeps attendees energized throughout the day. The hotel’s largest venue accommodates up to 850 attendees, while a 10,000-square-foot foyer and pre-function area with panoramic mountain views serves as a central gathering point for networking, receptions and registration. Two expansive ballrooms anchor the space, complemented by a full suite of breakout rooms suited for workshops, training sessions, and executive meetings.

Sustainability remains a core focus throughout the project. The event spaces now feature Axminster carpets composed of an 80% wool blend, a renewable, biodegradable material with low VOC emissions that helps reduce environmental footprint. The design also incorporates trees into the pre-function area, where abundant daylight supports a sustaining interior habitat. As a LEED Platinum-certified and Four Green Key property, The Westin Denver International Airport continues to prioritize energy efficiency, water conservation and responsible sourcing, with green screens to be introduced as part of the broader renovation. Meeting planners can access to a suite of environmentally conscious offerings through the hotel’s “Your Event, Your Impact” carbon offset program, including digital signage to reduce printed materials, water bubblers to minimize single-use plastics, and a Meeting Impact Report to measure event impact. Each room night booked also contributes to a tree planting initiative, reflecting a long-term commitment to environmental stewardship.

This milestone marks the first completed phase of the hotel’s $25 million property-wide transformation. Expected to be fully complete in Spring 2027, enhancements will continue across guestrooms, dining outlets, fitness facilities, and public spaces, reflecting broader market demand for full‑service hospitality that supports both performance and well‑being. In 2025, Denver International Airport ranked as the fourth busiest business airport in the country, underscoring growing demand for premium, full-service hospitality at DEN.
