Development Advances on Omni Raleigh Hotel, Anchoring Downtown Revitalization
Omni Hotels & Resorts is planting roots in Raleigh, NC, as development progresses on the Omni Raleigh Hotel. A significant milestone in the continued revitalization of the city’s downtown, the Omni Raleigh Hotel will serve as a cornerstone of an emerging district that brings together hospitality, culture and community, while helping meet the city’s growing demand for convention and meeting space.
Ideally situated between the Raleigh Convention Center and the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts, the Omni Raleigh will serve as a pivotal addition to the city’s urban infrastructure, significantly enhancing Raleigh’s meeting and event capabilities. Scheduled to open in late 2028, the 29-story Omni Raleigh Hotel will feature 600 guest rooms, a 20,000-square-foot ballroom, and an expansive 61,000 square feet of meeting space, directly supporting the ongoing expansion of the Raleigh Convention Center.
The Omni Raleigh Hotel will serve as an active participant in the city’s cultural renaissance, offering dynamic gathering spaces and amenities for both business and leisure travelers, including:
- The first-ever coffee shop by Raleigh-based Peter Millar, bringing the brand’s signature personality to life through authentic design elements, alongside a bespoke medium-dark roast blend from local favorite Black & White Coffee Roasters
- North Carolina’s first Bob’s Steak & Chop House, blending the restaurant’s signature classic design with Raleigh-inspired artwork and private dining spaces
- A rooftop pool and adjacent restaurant offering all-day dining and sweeping city views
- A sports bar featuring a golf simulator with large-format video walls, lounge seating and covered outdoor patio
- A fitness center and resort-style wellness experience with hot and cold therapies, including hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, cold plunges, red light recovery tables and compression pods
Inspired by Raleigh’s balance of vibrancy and tranquility, the hotel will be brought to life by construction partner Brasfield & Gorrie, alongside project architect Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio, LLC. Interiors will be curated by Waldrop + Nichols Studio, with Jeffrey Beers International designing Bob’s Steak & Chop House and the sports bar.
As Raleigh continues to grow as a cultural and economic hub, Omni Hotels & Resorts is proud to play a role in shaping its next chapter, planting roots that will support connection, creativity and community for decades to come.
