bohème by Elysian Real Estate Group to Open September 2026
Elysian Real Estate Group is thrilled to announce that bohème, an eclectic yet luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of East Austin, will officially open to the public this September. A grand opening celebration will be held later this year. Located at 400 Comal St., the boutique hotel will channel the city’s vibrant energy and introduce two new social spots to East Austin: Higher Spirits, a rooftop escape, and Sacred Souls, an intimate cocktail lounge rooted in the spirit of connection.
Elysian Real Estate Group has transformed the property, originally a sustainable apartment building, into a 20-guest-room hotel with six suites designed to reflect unique aspects of Austin culture, each telling a different story. Much like the accommodations, both Higher Spirits and Sacred Souls will have their own identity and pay homage to Austin’s cosmopolitan nature.
Sacred Souls will be the beating heart of bohème, designed as a space for fostering connection, conversation and ritual between guests and locals alike. The beverage program will feature thoughtfully crafted cocktails with seasonal ingredients, regional spirits and local beer. Inspired by Austin's creative spirit and independent soul, the cocktail lounge will be a neighborhood destination where guests can gather over drinks.
Six levels up, Higher Spirits will be a rooftop oasis with the east side's only unobstructed view of the Austin skyline. The open-air venue will feature a covered lounge, ample seating and a 1,000-square-foot lawn that will play host to intimate, community-driven events that mirror Austin’s culture. Higher Spirits will be a cultural gathering place for live music performances, unique retail collaborations, artist showcases, cozy movie premieres and more. Events will be complemented by a streamlined selection of wines, spirits and cocktails curated with the same intentional sourcing as Sacred Souls.
Nova Hospitality, the Austin-based hospitality group behind The Well, TenTen, Devil May Care and others, will operate the food and beverage program for bohème. Nova brings the same sourcing standards that define their restaurant portfolio to the hotel, making bohème one of the first hotel properties in Austin to build a food and beverage program around ingredients free of seed oils and refined sugar.
