New Opening La Bourdonnais (Paris 7): The Traveller's Art De Vivre

A Parisian Escape in the Heart of the City

Located in the heart of the 7th district of Paris, just a stone's throw from the Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower, Hotel La Bourdonnais and its bar, Minuit Express, make the perfect starting point for a Parisian adventure. Fully renovated in the spring of 2026, this 4-star boutique hotel, part of the Inwood Hotels collection, boasts a prime location, just a few minutes away on foot from the most beautiful monuments the capital has to offer. Its elegant interiors, inspired by the golden age of explorers, offer a refined interlude at the heart of a vibrant and ever-changing Paris.

Thanks to its responsible approach, Hotel La Bourdonnais was honored with the European Ecolabel in 2025.

The Traveller's Art de Vivre

Inspired by Bertrand-François Mahé de La Bourdonnais, a French naval officer and prominent 18th century explorer, Hotel La Bourdonnais pays tribute to an era when curiosity about the world fueled the imagination and an appreciation of fine things. Where East meets West, the hotel reimagines the world of great voyages and establishes the explorer's art of living as its signature, through contemporary Art Deco touches that combine exotic influences with Parisian sophistication. Here, every detail evokes an adventure, every material awakens an emotion. A genuine sensory interlude awaits design-conscious travelers, who will find sanctuary in the very heart of Paris.

The Renovation Project: A Tale of Adventure and Elegance by Oscar Lucien Ono

Building on its renovation projects on the French Riviera, the Inwood Hotels Group has once again placed its trust in Oscar Lucien Ono, the founder of studio Maison Numéro 20. After transforming Hotel Le Soleia in Nice and Villa Miráe on the Cap d'Antibes, the architect brings his distinctive signature to La Bourdonnais, envisioning with total freedom a place where the art of travel intertwines with the Parisian dream. Oscar Lucien Ono transforms every space into a veritable tale of adventure and elegance, creating a hushed atmosphere where luxurious materials and sensual textures play off one another. The walls are adorned with hand-painted motifs by Maison Ulgador, while the fine fabrics are from Rubelli, Lelièvre and Casamance — further enhancing the refined atmosphere through custom furnishings.

Where East Meets West: 53 Rooms and Junior Suites Inspired by Travel

In the 53 rooms and junior suites — 6 of which afford Eiffel Tower vistas — three color palettes inspire wanderlust: a blue-hued ambiance with poetic, floral patterns, suggesting a subtle, contemplative Eastern influence; a beige and straw-hued atmosphere, where elegant animal motifs recall a fascination for exotic wildlife; and a terracotta ambiance, inspired by far-flung landscapes and shadow play, where warm tones converse with sinuous motifs. Embodying the explorer's art of living, these intimate spaces offer a true haven at the heart of Paris, where every detail whisks you away on a dreamlike voyage between East and West.

The Bar: Minuit Express

Hidden behind an unassuming doorway in the 7th district of Paris is Minuit Express, a cocktail and spirits bar rooted in a fascination with the golden age of iconic trains. Like a true imaginary travel company, each space unfolds as a series of stops along a nighttime journey where boundaries fade away and time seems to stand still, inviting every traveler to embark on a sensory odyssey across three continents.

Set against a backdrop of wood paneling and warm velvet, the signature cocktails and sharing platter menus by Chef Khalid Mansour (Restaurant Le Bayadère) transport diners to three iconic destinations. Grand Tour Express Europe reinterprets the classics with elegance, the Panamerican Express America combines robust spirits with vibrant flavors, while the Moonlight Express Asia composes a subtle poetry that blends matcha, sake and yuzu.

Each cocktail, made using carefully selected ingredients, celebrates the thrill of departure. Every dish inspires moments of sharing and travel. Together, they evoke the luxury of the unknown.
