Situated in Kvarnholmen, a vibrant waterfront neighbourhood in Nacka on Stockholm's eastern shore, the hotel will benefit from the area's ongoing transformation into one of the Swedish capital's most exciting new urban districts. Known for its blend of industrial heritage and modern Scandinavian design, Kvarnholmen offers guests easy access to the Stockholm archipelago, the city centre and a growing cultural and culinary scene.
Hotel Indigo, the world's neighbourhood hotel brand, is renowned for its distinctive approach to hospitality, drawing inspiration from the local neighbourhood, culture and popular trends in food, drink and design. No two Hotel Indigo properties are the same - each begins with a story shaped by its surroundings. The brand has now exceeded 325 open and pipeline hotels globally, reflecting its accelerated pace and rollout internationally to almost 50 countries.
Scheduled to open in 2029, Hotel Indigo Stockholm – Kvarnholmen will offer 232 guest rooms and will include a restaurant and bar, wellness and recreational facilities, meeting spaces of 150 sqm and social areas. The property will also feature a rooftop pool and terrace, spa and gym facilities, and an internal atrium with green space, supporting both guest experience and local community integration.
Hotel Indigo Stockholm – Kvarnholmen will join IHG's expanding footprint in Sweden, which currently includes voco Stockholm – Kista and the recently opened Ruby Frida in Stockholm. This signing builds on IHG's strategy to grow its current presence of 13 open and pipeline properties across the Nordics, where the company sees significant potential across its brand portfolio.
There is a total of 54 open and 22 pipeline Hotel Indigo properties across Europe, with recent openings including Hotel Indigo Gloucester – The Forum and Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd's Bush, both in the UK.
