The Selvedge, A SingleThread Inn, is Now Accepting Reservations
Vertice Hospitality, the development and operating group behind SingleThread in Healdsburg, today announced its newest hospitality experience, The Selvedge an 11-room inn set in a fully restored 1895 mansion, is now accepting reservations for stays beginning Monday, November 9. The Selvedge is located at 68 Front Street, Healdsburg, CA, on the banks of the famed Russian River, and just a short walk from SingleThread, which holds the rare distinction of possessing both three Michelin Stars for its restaurant and three Michelin Keys for its Inn, and represents the third hospitality concept from Tony Greenberg, Kyle Connaughton and Katina Connaughton.
Whereas SingleThread Restaurant and Inn are deeply influenced by Vertice co-owners and partners Kyle and Katina’s time living in Japan, the Selvedge will take both its design and experience inspiration from the cooking and farming traditions of England’s Oxfordshire Countryside, where the Connaughton’s spent several years living and working, and the Cotswolds. The Selvedge will operate as an all-inclusive bed and breakfast experience, offering its own interpretation of time-honored British hospitality traditions including traditional English breakfast and afternoon tea. The Selvedge will also house a unique art program focused on UK and domestic textile artists, and celebrating the genesis of the punk rock movement, as well as a library stocked with a host of rare books and magazines, that document the music, food and fashion scenes of the late 70s and 80s.
Interior design for The Selvedge was brought to life by longtime collaborator AvroKO, following the firm’s award-winning work on SingleThread’s eponymous Restaurant and Inn. Each of the inn’s 11 guest rooms are designed as restrained yet highly immersive retreats featuring distinct color palettes, British craft and materials from UK makers, and include a unique mix of custom and antique furniture that encapsulates the marriage of 19th-century detailing with Sonoma's restrained, earthy aesthetic.
The day-to-day hospitality experience at The Selvedge will be led by longtime SingleThread alumni and husband and wife team, Brianna Davis as general manager and Kyle Knox as head chef, bringing a deeply connected sense of intimacy and loving care into The Selvedge home.
