Fidelity Hotel

Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel Now Open, Ushering in a New Era of Design-Driven Hospitality in the Queen City

Marking its continued expansion in Ohio, today New Waterloo unveils Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel, in the heart of downtown’s Fountain District. The 165-room lifestyle property reflects the company’s community-first ethos while setting a new benchmark for quietly sophisticated, design-led hospitality inspired by the spirit of Cincinnati.

Set within the storied 1913 Gwynne Building, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel is a thoughtful adaptive reuse that honors the city’s architectural legacy while ushering in a vibrant new chapter. Long considered one of downtown’s most distinctive Beaux-Arts landmarks, the building has been meticulously restored and reimagined as a “living landmark,” an energetic social hub designed to connect locals and travelers.

A DESIGN ROOTED IN HISTORY, BROUGHT TO LIFE FOR TODAY

Guided by Dallas-based design firm Looney & Associates, the hotel’s interiors reflect a layered, collected aesthetic inspired by Cincinnati’s historic moniker as the “Paris of America.” The design balances classic European influences with a distinctly Midwestern warmth, resulting in spaces that feel eclectic, light-filled and deeply personal.

Original architectural elements have been carefully preserved and reinterpreted, including the building’s vaulted lobby and restored façade. A newly introduced four-story light court and grand staircase anchor the interior experience, while natural marble floors, bold wallcoverings, and a curated mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings create a sense of effortless elegance. Throughout, a robust collection of local artwork reinforces the hotel’s connection to Cincinnati’s creative community.

Guest accommodations further this residential feel with 165 thoughtfully appointed rooms, including 17 suites, two bunkrooms and a presidential suite, designed as refined urban retreats. Amenities include locally sourced minibars, plush Parachute bathrobes, premium bath products, and in-room dining, alongside a 24-hour fitness center outfitted with Peloton, CLMBR, and FORME Life equipment.

A CULINARY DESTINATION ROOTED IN PLACE

At the heart of the hotel’s experience is a dynamic food and beverage program helmed by Chef Brad Bernstein that reflects the flavors, traditions and craftsmanship of the Ohio River Valley.

Gwynne, the hotel’s signature restaurant and lobby bar, is a distinctly American eatery grounded in Midwestern heritage and seasonal ingredients. Drawing inspiration from Cincinnati’s historic “Porkopolis” legacy, the menu celebrates regional growers and makers through a refined yet approachable lens. Gwynne balances familiar flavors with thoughtful technique, creating a dining experience that feels both comforting and elevated. The restaurant will be open daily in the lounge for breakfast and lunch service with dinner and weekend brunch taking place in the main dining room.

The beverage program is designed as a narrative journey, with a menu that reflects themes of lineage, social ritual and transatlantic influence tracing Alice Claypoole Gwynne Vanderbilt’s Cincinnati origins through her rise into one of America’s most prominent families. Each cocktail acts as a chapter, blending historical reference with modern technique. Standouts include The Gwynne Heiress, a richly layered expression of single-barrel bourbon, black cherry, and tobacco bitters, and Garden Secrets, a brighter, garden-inspired composition of gin, tomato liqueur and aperitivo elements.

Complementing the restaurant is Cora’s All Day Café, a neighborhood-inspired café and market that evolves throughout the day. Rooted in Cincinnati’s historic market culture, Cora’s begins each morning with specialty coffee, house-made pastries and breakfast fare, before transitioning into a lively all-day destination for sandwiches, salads, charcuterie, wine and local beer. A curated retail component featuring local goods, artwork and Fidelity single-origin coffee extends the experience beyond the café, creating a true “third space” for both visitors and the surrounding community.

A SOCIAL HUB FOR THE CITY

True to New Waterloo’s philosophy, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel is designed to be more than a hotel—it is a cultural connector and gathering place for the city. The property features more than 7,770 square feet of event and meeting space, anchored by the Vanderbilt Ballroom, a 2,575-square-foot venue with sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows ideal for weddings, celebrations and corporate events.

Throughout the hotel, a spirit of warmth and approachability defines the guest experience, with thoughtful touches and intuitive service creating an atmosphere that feels both elevated and inviting. From its vibrant ground-floor energy to its design-forward interiors, the hotel reflects a sense of individuality and personality that is distinctly Cincinnati.

A COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY

In line with New Waterloo’s mission to create meaningful community impact, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel is launching with its “Community Love” initiative, donating $10 from every night booked to 1001 Colors. This ongoing partnership underscores the hotel’s role as a catalyst for local creativity and economic vitality.

A GATEWAY TO DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI

Ideally situated in the Fountain District, the hotel places guests within steps of the city’s top attractions, including Great American Ballpark, Paycor Stadium, the Aronoff Center for the Arts, the Contemporary Arts Center and the Taft Museum. Whether visiting for business or leisure, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel offers an immersive gateway to the city’s evolving cultural landscape.
