PARKROYAL Parramatta
PARKROYAL Parramatta completes landmark transformation as Western Sydney enters a new era for business events
As Western Sydney enters one of the most significant periods of economic growth in its history, PARKROYAL Parramatta has completed the final stage of its multi-million-dollar transformation, positioning the hotel to meet the evolving needs of a region fast becoming one of Australia's most important destinations for business, investment and major events.
The completion of the refurbishment follows the extensive redesign of two thirds of its rooms in 2025. This second stage delivers a redesigned lobby, upgraded meetings and events spaces, and a premium executive suite, marking the final chapter in the hotel's extensive renewal and reinforcing its position as Western Sydney's leading premium hotel.
This comes as Parramatta continues its evolution into Sydney's second CBD, driven by significant infrastructure investment, expanding corporate headquarters, population growth and the upcoming opening of Western Sydney International Airport and Powerhouse Museum. Together, these developments are reshaping the city into a major destination for business travel, conferences and events.
For PARKROYAL Parramatta, the refurbishment has been about more than modernising the hotel, it has been about anticipating how the role of meetings and business travel is changing. Today's event organisers are seeking venues that are flexible, technology-enabled and capable of delivering more personalised experiences, while businesses increasingly value locations that place delegates in the centre of thriving commercial precincts. The hotel's renewed meetings and events offering has been designed with exactly this evolution in mind.
The enhancement of the hotel's meetings and events facilities includes upgrades to the Governor's Ballroom and the introduction of Western Sydney's first and biggest permanent hotel LED wall through a partnership with Encore.
The impressive 10-metre by three-metre LED wall combines cutting-edge visual technology with Encore's internationally recognised event production expertise, giving organisers access to immersive presentation capabilities typically reserved for major convention venues.
Complementing the technology investment is the hotel's flexible portfolio of 13 event spaces, designed to accommodate everything from executive board meetings and government briefings to conferences, gala dinners and celebrations. Supported by tailored catering and personalised planning, the spaces reflect growing demand for more adaptable, experience-led events that move beyond the traditional conference format.
The project also introduces the newly refurbished 116sqm PARKROYAL Suite, designed to meet the growing convergence of business and leisure travel. Accommodating up to six guests, the space is well suited to more intimate business meetings and executive discussions in a private setting, with the option of a tailored boardroom experience that transforms the suite into a bespoke executive meeting space, complete with a personalised menu crafted by the expert culinary team.
Featuring integrated boardroom functionality, presentation technology, expansive living and entertaining spaces, exclusive Club Lounge access and premium residential-style amenities, the suite has been designed to seamlessly transition from executive meetings to private dining or overnight accommodation, offering a sophisticated setting for both business and personal occasions.
Guests will also notice a redesigned lobby that completes the hotel's transformation, delivering a contemporary arrival experience that complements the recently updated guestrooms, while creating a welcoming gateway to the energy of Parramatta.
