Metamorphosis at the foot of Mont-Blanc: Hôtel Le Morgane reveals its new look
Some hotels reenact the mountain as we imagine it. Others prefer to look at it differently. It is this second approach that Le Morgane has chosen for its rebirth. Transformed into a 5-star property with 54 rooms and suites, the hotel will reopen its doors in December 2026, offering a destination deeply rooted in its local environment. Chamonix, its terrain, its textures, and its rhythm are celebrated, while leaving behind the overly expected clichés of the chalet. Here, wood alone is not enough to tell the story of the Alps. Stone, wool, leather, subtle tones, and lighting create a contemporary and sensitive atmosphere designed by the Barcelona-based studio Astet Studio—all while leaving the stage to what matters most: the panorama.
Behind this revival, led by investors QuinSpark and Eternam, lies an ambitious project:
- Signature Design: The interior architecture was entirely redesigned by Astet Studio (recognized among the AD100), highlighting raw and warm materials (noble woods, glazed stoneware, Rosso Levanto marble, onyx) in perfect harmony with exceptional views of Mont-Blanc.
- 54 Keys: 37 rooms and 17 air-conditioned suites (including two presidential suites with terraces exceeding 50 m²), conceived as true cozy sanctuaries.
- A French Bistro with an Alpine Soul: A dining experience that honors local terroir and producers (alpine herbs, valley cheeses, lake fish).
- Wellness and Unwinding: A CODAGE-branded spa featuring a relaxation pool for optimal recovery after a day on the peaks.
- A Strong Eco-Responsible Commitment: Aiming for BREEAM Very Good environmental certification, extensive material reuse during construction, and advanced energy management.
Bridging vibrant city life and high-altitude escape, Le Morgane is already establishing itself as the must-visit address for next season in Chamonix.
