The Kimpton will become IHG’s third hotel in the Via Veneto area, strengthening its presence in one of Rome’s most prestigious districts. The hotel will transform an existing building into a luxury lifestyle destination in the heart of the city. The 114-room property will feature a rooftop bar, restaurant, internal courtyard, wellness facilities, and dedicated meeting and event space. A defining feature of the hotel will be the restoration and reinvention of an existing theatre, which will be transformed into a signature multifunctional arts and events venue, creating a unique cultural and social hub for both guests and locals.
The signing continues IHG's expansion across Italy, following the recent milestone of more than 50 open and pipeline properties in the country. It also further strengthens the company's Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Rome, where the hotel will join nine existing properties, including InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace and Six Senses Rome, alongside the upcoming Hotel Alexandra Rome, Vignette Collection.
The hotel will be the second Kimpton property in Italy, joining Kimpton Villa Miramare Taormina and will add to 14 open and six pipeline Kimpton hotels across Europe. The signing also strengthens IHG’s growing footprint in the country, where the company operates 33 hotels and has 21 more in the pipeline, supporting the expansion of its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio across Southern Europe and key gateway destinations.
