Ascott to Debut Oakwood Premier in Vietnam with Signing of Oakwood Premier Hallbridge Hanoi
The Ascott Limited (Ascott), a Singapore-headquartered global hospitality company wholly owned by CapitaLand Investment (CLI), has signed a hotel management agreement with DETECH Group to launch Oakwood Premier Hallbridge Hanoi, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership between the two companies as well as the introduction of the Oakwood Premier brand to Vietnam’s capital city.
The addition of Oakwood Premier Hallbridge Hanoi will grow Ascott’s portfolio in Vietnam to 45 properties, bringing its total inventory to more than 12,300 units across operational and pipeline developments nationwide. The signing reinforces Ascott’s position as the leading serviced residence operator in Vietnam while reflecting both companies’ commitment to developing quality hospitality destinations that support the country’s continued economic and tourism growth.
With growing owner interest in Ascott’s portfolio of brands within the market, the signing also marks the start of Ascott’s partnership with DETECH Group, a diversified Vietnamese conglomerate with interests spanning manufacturing, real estate, technology, education, healthcare and consumer businesses. As the developer of Oakwood Premier Hallbridge Hanoi, DETECH Group brings strong financial capabilities and extensive development expertise, establishing a solid foundation for a long-term collaboration between the two companies.
Scheduled to open in 2029, Oakwood Premier Hallbridge Hanoi will comprise 127 units, including studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Positioned as an upper-upscale hybrid hospitality product, the property will offer the flexibility of serviced residence living combined with hotel-style facilities and services, catering to both short-stay travellers and long-stay corporate guests as well as expatriates. The project is expected to benefit from strong demand generated by the surrounding commercial and technology hubs.
Located in Hanoi’s southwest central business district (CBD), within the rapidly growing My Dinh - Cau Giay corridor, the property sits as part of a mixed-use development comprising a hospitality tower and an adjacent office tower. The area has emerged as one of Hanoi’s most dynamic commercial and technology hubs, home to leading companies such as FPT, CMC and Thanh Cong Motor, as well as a large Korean and Japanese expatriate community.
With excellent connectivity to key commercial, diplomatic and lifestyle destinations across the city, the property is located approximately three kilometres from the National Convention Center, My Dinh Stadium, the new U.S. Embassy complex, international schools and major shopping centres, and will provide convenient access to Hanoi’s city centre and Noi Bai International Airport via Ring Road 3. Its location among internationally recognised hospitality developments further enhances the destination’s appeal for both corporate and leisure travellers.
Derived from the concepts of “Hall” and “Bridge,” the name Hallbridge embodies the development’s vision of connection and convergence. It represents a place where people, ideas, cultures and opportunities intersect, fostering meaningful exchanges while bridging local character with global aspirations, and balancing heritage with modern progress.
As the first Oakwood Premier property in Vietnam, the development marks the brand’s debut in one of Southeast Asia’s key corporate and diplomatic capitals and reinforces Ascott’s commitment to expanding its premium hospitality offerings in strategic gateway destinations across Vietnam and Indochina. Upon completion, guests will enjoy a comprehensive range of facilities and amenities, including a welcoming lobby with double-height ceilings and natural light, complemented by a lobby lounge and café bar that evoke the comfort of a living room, an all-day dining restaurant delivering a refined dining experience,, residence lounge, OakBar, meeting and multifunction rooms, wellness amenities such as swimming pools, a fitness centre, yoga facilities and a dedicated kids’ club.
Upon completion in 2029, Oakwood Premier Hallbridge Hanoi is expected to further elevate the hospitality offering in Hanoi’s southwest CBD, delivering a premium stay experience defined by comfort, flexibility and world-class service. Together, Ascott and DETECH Group look forward to bringing the project to fruition and contributing to Hanoi’s continued growth as a regional gateway for business, investment and tourism.
