Sara y Julieta

Sara y Julieta Opens November 2026 as Mexico City's Newest Luxury Boutique Hotel

Sara y Julieta, a new 22-room luxury boutique hotel, opened its doors on November 1, 2026, in Mexico City's vibrant Roma Norte neighborhood. Housed within two restored Porfirian residences dating from 1903 to 1911, the property combines impeccable finishes and decor, ample rooms, high-level gastronomy, and a boutique spa to create an intimate retreat rooted in the neighborhood's rich history and character.

Inspired by two influential women connected to Roma Norte's history, Sara y Julieta was designed by HOST Architecture & Design, which thoughtfully preserved the original character of the two historic residences while introducing contemporary finishes and refined Mexican craftsmanship. Named after Sara Pérez de Madero, the "First Lady of the Revolution" and women's rights advocate, and Julieta Bastard, a legendary hostess to artists and intellectuals, the hotel embraces a philosophy of duality: looking inward toward tranquility and privacy, and outward toward the vibrant culture and history of Roma Norte. This concept extends to the two houses, with one serving as a lively social hub by housing the lobby, restaurants, and bars, while the other is dedicated to wellness and relaxation. Throughout the property, soaring ceilings, tall windows, elegant moldings, and marble finishes complement the French-inspired Porfirian architecture, creating an inviting atmosphere that balances the property's rich heritage with modern comforts.

The hotel offers 22 rooms and suites across five categories, ranging from intimate Alcoba guestrooms to the expansive 775-square-foot Grand Suite. The hotel's signature suite features hand-painted wallpaper, marble finishes, a private living area with an adjoining lounge, and a bathroom featuring a soaking tub and double shower. Three Mirador Suites feature private rooftop terraces overlooking Roma Norte, while select Premium rooms offer balconies overlooking the neighborhood.

Sara y Julieta's culinary offerings include Pérez, its signature ground-floor restaurant showcasing fine dining with Mexican roots, paying tribute to the first ladies who once called the neighborhood home. Bastard, an intimate speakeasy-style cocktail bar named after Julieta Bastard, celebrates Roma Norte's bohemian history with a discreet yet lively atmosphere, while a rooftop Omakase venue offers an intimate, handcrafted dining experience. Each morning, guests can also enjoy a light breakfast of coffee, tea, pastries, and yogurt in The Living Room, a private guest lounge with a small patio that also serves as a welcoming space for guests to work in or connect with the hotel team for personalized itinerary planning.

For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the hotel's wellness facilities include a boutique spa with two treatment rooms, a thermal circuit featuring a sauna and cold plunge pool, lymphatic treatments, and herbal remedies, alongside a state-of-the-art fitness center equipped by Technogym.

Situated in the heart of Roma Norte, Sara y Julieta places guests within walking distance of the neighborhood's celebrated restaurants, cafes, independent boutiques, art galleries, and cultural landmarks. Guests can explore the area through curated itineraries highlighting its layered history. The hotel is also a 10-minute walk from Condesa and Parque México, with convenient access to Paseo de la Reforma, Polanco, and Mexico City's Historic Center, as well as 30 minutes from Mexico City International Airport.

Operated by Hamak Hotels, a luxury hospitality company with more than 15 years of experience managing properties throughout Mexico and Latin America, Sara y Julieta is a member of Leading Hotels of the World, a collection of independent luxury hotels. The property officially opened on November 1, 2026, with nightly rates starting at USD $540.
