Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud by IHG
Opening Late 2026: Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud, IHG’s First Kimpton in Indonesia
Set along the Wos River in Ubud, Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud will mark the Kimpton brand's debut in both Bali and Indonesia. The 101-room property will bring a new addition to Ubud's hospitality landscape, drawing on the destination's art, culture and culinary traditions through its architecture, dining and wellness offerings. A few highlights that make the property particularly noteworthy:
-
Designed by internationally recognized architecture firm Denton Corker Marshall, the hotel is shaped around the natural contours of Ubud's hillside and riverside setting, with an architectural rhythm inspired by the movement of Balinese ceremonial processions.
-
The property's culinary program spans five concepts, including Imamura, led by Michelin-starred Chef Imamura and offering an intimate evening omakase experience; Shaku by Imamura, a Japanese izakaya with a speakeasy-style bar; Cascara, serving progressive Indonesian cuisine; Samana, an all-day lobby concept; and Pelago Day Club, an open-air riverside venue
-
Accommodations range from Essential Rooms and One-Bedroom Suites to One- and Two-Bedroom Villas. The larger villas offer expanded living spaces and added privacy, catering to longer stays and group travel.
-
The resort will introduce Kimpton's signature guest rituals to Ubud, including Kimpton Social, Kimpton Kickstart with complimentary coffee, tea and pastries each morning, and the "Forgot It? We've Got It!" program, offering complimentary travel essentials for forgotten items.
-
At Sakshi Spa, the three elements of Balinese philosophy, air, water and earth, inform its treatments and wellness experiences. The property will also feature a two-story fitness studio and dedicated recovery facilities.
