Wolfgang Gros has been appointed as vice president of operations, Continental Europe at Marriott International Lodging

Based in Eschborn, Germany, Gros is responsible for food and beverage, rooms operations, brand standards and new hotel standards for 104 operating in Continental Europe across five marriott lodging brands. In 2005, Gros was appointed general manager for the new Cologne Marriott Hotel, where he stayed for three years managing a team of 110 associates. Prior to that, he was regional director of food and beverage training at the Marriott International regional office in Eschborn. He was named director of operations at the JW Marriott Bucharest Hotel in 2000. His first hotel position was as food and beverage manager, and later director of food and beverage, at the Renaissance Hotel in Istanbul. He held a wide variety of culinary jobs in Germany, Switzerland and Great Britain before becoming a management trainee and later food and beverage manager in Germany. Gros graduated with a Business Science degree from the Hotel Management School in Koblenz, Germany.
