The Blue Tulum Resort & Spa announced today the appointment of Antonio Herrera Campuzano to the position of resident manager. A veteran of 20+ years in the hospitality industry, Campuzano boasts an impressive resume marked by executive positions with EP, as well as all-inclusive upscale resorts and hotels throughout Mexico, the Caribbean Latin America, Europe and the United States.
Immediately prior to joining the Blue Tulum team, Campuzano served as rooms division manager at the Azul Sensatori Hotel in Cancun, though he is best known in travel industry circles from his work at Sol Meliá Hotels and Resorts where he spent the bulk of his career (1996-2006).
Campuzano’s tenure with Sol Meliá started at the deluxe, five-star 490-room Hotel Gran Meliá Mexico Reforma in Mexico City where he held a variety of on-property management positions. Following a promotion to the company’s corporate headquarters in Cancun, Campuzano played an integral role in streamlining the technology platform utilized by Sol Meliá, adopting the latest technologies to create efficiencies within sales, marketing, customer service and reservations.
During his career, Campuzano has also held management positions at the Four Seasons Hotel, Mexico City, and the Camino Real Mexico, Mexico City. General Management Central & South America Mexico Tulum
