Jean Pierre Chaumard named General Manager at Royal Mansour Marrakech
Jean Pierre Chaumard has been named as the General Manager of Royal Mansour Marrakech. Hailing from a uniquely cultured background, Mr. Chaumard brings over twenty years of luxury hotel managerial experience to the development. He has served at such iconic hotels as La Mamounia in Marrakech, Evian Royal Resort in Geneva, Hotel de Maris in Monaco, and Hotel Byblos St. Tropez. He also managed the hotel of the Shah of Iran, Empereur Pahlavi, on the island of Kish, and most notably, gained recognition while most recently managing the Royal Palm in Mauritius for twenty years. Mr. Chaumard has opened boutiques for a prestigious French jeweler on Rodeo Drive, and at one point assisted in opening the largest cashmere and silk carpet boutique on Jumeirah Avenue in Dubai. As a result of such worldly affairs, former French president Jacques Chirac awarded Mr. Chaumard with the Ordre de la Légion d'Honneur, for “representing the French savoir faire worldwide.” Mr. Chaumard will oversee the grand opening of Royal Mansour Marrakech and hopes to “position it as the best hotel in Morocco, and thereafter, as one of the most impressive hotels worldwide.”
