Maland brings strong operating and financial experience to his new position. He also possesses a deep understanding of the Reno-Tahoe hospitality and gaming market having served as the President of the Reno Hilton from 2001 to 2006. Prior to his time with Hilton, Maland was General Manager of the Santa Fe Casino and Hotel and CFO of Caesar’s Palace, both in Las Vegas. Earlier in his career, he was Executive Vice President of Trump Plaza in Atlantic City. Maland served the state of Nevada in 2007 and 2008 as Director of the Nevada State Tourism Commission, a state agency that had a promotion budget of $23 million.
