Jim Horsman has been appointed as Managing Director at the Madison Hotel

Charles S. Peck, president and chief operating officer for Destination Hotels & Resorts, today announced the company will manage The Madison, a 353-room hotel in the heart of the nation’s capital. The Madison marks Destination’s return to Washington, D.C. to once again manage an iconic independent property in the market. The company has tapped veteran hotelier Jim Horsman to lead the repositioning of The Madison and to bring the property to its former glory. As managing director of The Madison, Horsman brings more than two decades of luxury hotel experience to the property. He most recently opened Destination’s Stowe Mountain Lodge in Vermont, which was named among the top hotels in the world by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Prior to opening Stowe Mountain Lodge, Horsman was the general manager at the award-winning NINE ZERO hotel in Boston when it was a part of the Destination Hotels & Resorts collection. He also spent more than a decade with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, opening and operating a number of properties in such diverse locations as Mexico, Hawaii, Dubai, Philadelphia and Marina del Rey.
