Charles Woo has been named Managing Director at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers and Area Managing Director for Hong Kong and Macau at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts (Starwood)

Besides managing the operations of the hotel and responsible for the continued success of Sheraton as the leading hotel providing luxurious comfort in Hong Kong, Charles also oversees Starwood’s footprints in Hong Kong and Macau, including W Hong Kong, Le Méridien Cyberport and The Westin Resort, Macau. A native of Hong Kong, Charles’ experience in hospitality industry spans 33 years. He began his career as Management Trainee with ITT Sheraton in 1978 and spent 15 years with Sheraton hotels in Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, Boston, Brunei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tianjin and Shanghai. During his tenure, Charles has held senior positions including General Manager in Tianjin and Shanghai as well as Area Controller for East Asia. Prior to joining his current role, Charles, was the president of The Sutton Place Hotels Group, where he oversaw the entire group portfolio in both Canada and United States, a position he had held since 1993. Charles holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and an MBA, both from University of Oklahoma in the United States.
