Elias Van Niekerk has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at the Castle Hill Inn

Prior to joining Castle Hill, Elias was first the Food & Beverage Manager and then the Director of Banquets at The Ritz-Carlton in Tucson, Arizona. There, he managed a team that coordinated $8 million of yearly functions of up to 800 guests and was instrumental in opening the property’s signature restaurant. Before The Ritz in Arizona, Elias was the Restaurant Manager at The Ritz-Carlton in Doha, Qatar, the number one ranked restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton’s portfolio for Asia and the Middle East. Prior to that, Elias was a Manager at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida. Prior to embarking on his hospitality career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Elias worked in several restaurants and a private game reserve in his native South Africa. He is a graduate of The University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, holding a degree in Business Baccalaureate Law. He currently resides in Charlestown, RI.
