A seasoned sales executive, Barry was previously with the Sea Pines Resort and The Inn at Harbour Town – a luxury 60-room inn and 390 villas on a PGA golf course on Hilton Head Island – for 10 years, during which he headed the property’s sales team as senior national sales manager for three years. He was also with Starwood Hotels & Resorts for seven years, serving as both a sales manager and catering/convention services manager at Starwood’s 412-room Westin Resort, also on Hilton Head.
He began his career at the venerable Plaza Hotel in New York as a front office assistant manager, working his way up the ranks to conference services manager.
A certified meeting professional (CMP), Barry holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel management from the New York Institute of Technology.
