Williams, who brings more than 30 years of hospitality management experience to his new role, is responsible for the operation of the 500-acre tropical resort including oversight and management of the 750-member staff, golf facilities, spa, casino, food and beverage outlets, rooms, sales and marketing.
Williams previously held a variety of management roles with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Marriott International and Ramada Worldwide.
Most recently, Williams was general manager of the 502-room Sheraton Convention Center Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ where he successfully operated a non-gaming convention hotel by developing effective sales and marketing initiatives to outperform the competition in delivering “best in class” customer service. Prior to that, Williams managed several award-winning hotels and resorts, including The Sheraton Gainesville Hotel; Marriott Meadowview Resort; Nashville Airport Marriott; Amsterdam Marriott, Marriott’s Hilton Head Island Resort; New Orleans Marriott Hotel; Marriott’s St. Louis Pavilion Hotel; and Ramada Inn Six Flags.
Williams earned his bachelor of science in hotel and restaurant administration from Florida State University and obtained his Masters Certificate in the Essentials of Hospitality Management from Cornell University. General Management Caribbean Puerto Rico Rio Grande
