Helen Carr has been appointed as Director of Sales at Residence Inn by Marriott

Helen Carr
Carr received her undergraduate degree in tourism and hospitality management from Central Connecticut State University and is currently working toward her MBA with a concentration in marketing at the University of New Haven. It was while she was an undergraduate that she first began working in the hospitality industry. Carr started at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in New Britain, Connecticut as a senior front desk representative and part time housekeeping supervisor. After graduating in 2010, Carr joined the Waterford Hotel Group in Hartford, Connecticut as the company's eCommerce Manager. In this role she updated and managed the Websites for a Marriott hotel and a Hilton hotel, created social media engagements for both properties and helped develop city-wide partnerships. She held this position until joining White Lodging in September 2011.
