The City Seasons Group of hotels has appointed Syed Mehdi to head up the sales and marketing for its Dubai properties. Mehdi has spent the last four years with Samaya Hotels & Resorts overseeing the group's Dubai and Sharjah hotels where he was promoted from sales manager to director of sales and marketing.
Prior to that he was the sales and marketing manager at the Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai where he was responsible for all sales and marketing communications including the creation of all above the line and below the line advertising materials, media planning and press releases.
Mehdi's key areas of expertise lie in the opening up of new markets through attendance at global trade exhibitions such as ITB Berlin, World WTM in London and Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai.
He also has considerable experience leading and mentoring sales and marketing teams fostering an environment of effective internal and external communications.
