Prior to her Foxwoods appointment, Baran was a Director at the Atlantis, the world-renowned Kerzner International convention facility and casino in the Bahamas featuring 3,500 rooms and 200,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. She excelled at building and sustaining commercial accounts with both domestic and international clientele.
From 2003 to 2007, Baran was the Senior National Manager of The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, where she led a team of 30 professionals that generated $84 million in annual meetings business. In her early career, Baran began as a Banquet Captain at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida and then rose to become the National Sales Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, in Palm Beach, Florida.
Baran is a graduate of the University of Delaware where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotels, Restaurants and Institutional Management Administration and minor in marketing. She also attended the Swiss School of Hospitality in Chur, Switzerland.
