The home of the British Academy – {10-11} Carlton House Terrace – has taken on Clare Arouche as the new Business and Development Manager. Arouche took on the role having left Trafalgar Events, the venue she set up off Trafalgar Square and remained at for 3 ½ years. Prior to that Arouche was the conference manager at Regent’s College, a post she held for 15 years.
Whilst the British Academy is the UK’s national academy for humanist and social sciences and has many internal events for its fellows, Arouche is responsible for launching the venue to the wider public and increasing its potential for events and conferences. The venue has 10 rooms for hire all with their own unique period features. Organisers may have spotted the venue, which has prime views over The Mall and Horseguards Parade in shows such as Spooks, Dorian Gray or Bridget Jones’s Diary.
