Wayne Greenwood has been appointed as General Manager Hotels at Accor Vacation Club

Wayne joined the Accor Group in 2001, and has since worked in variety of hotel operations and General Manager roles. More recently Wayne was the Area General Manager for Northern Territory & South Australia before taking on his newest assignment with the Accor Vacation Club based on the Gold Coast. Wayne has experience in managing hotels and resorts across multiple brands of the Accor network in Australia & New Zealand as he enters his 11th year with the company. His highlight was looking after the dual resort complex of Novotel Twin Waters Resort and Grand Mercure Apartments on the Sunshine Coast. Before joining Accor, Wayne spent a number years as General Manager of the luxury Orpheus Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef. Wayne has also held various leisure and hospitality roles in Australia and in Europe. Coupled with his hotel skills, Wayne has vast experience in managing numerous refurbishment and redevelopment projects. The largest being a $40 million extension of Novotel Canberra in 2008. Wayne began in hospitality 20 years ago whilst pursuing a sporting and coaching career at a national representative level in sailing.
