Blair Roxborough has been appointed as IHG area general manager, Victoria at IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) Australia

Effective today, Blair will oversee the operations of four hotels within the state including InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto, Crowne Plaza Melbourne, Holiday Inn Melbourne on Flinders, and Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport. Blair replaces David Travers who has returned to China as area general manager responsible for a number of hotels in Beijing. Blair commenced his career in hotel operations in 1984 and held various senior hotel management positions throughout Australia, Asia and New Zealand including managing Crowne Plaza Christchurch, Parkroyal Christchurch and Parkroyal Perth. Blair transferred from his role of area general manager of the South Island, New Zealand, a position he held with IHG for two years. Blair has a Bachelor of Business, Majoring in Accountancy from the Queensland University of Technology and is a former board member of Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism.
