Reed Kandalaft has been appointed Hotel Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, where he will oversee hotel operations, working to ensure the highest quality of service and amenities are provided to guests. He will also assist General Manager Mehdi Eftekari to provide leadership and guidance to the management team and employees. Kandalaft has more than 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including four years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Most recently, Kandalaft spent two years at Four Seasons Hotel Damascus in Syria as Hotel Manager, where he oversaw five food and beverage outlets, including three restaurants. He also served as Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii. Prior to joining Four Seasons, Kandalaft served as director of rooms at The Ballantyne in Charlotte, North Carolina and as director of housekeeping at The Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida. Before that, he spent four years as front office manager at Marco Island Marriott Resort in Florida. Kandalaft graduated from Florida International University with an Executive Master’s Degree in hospitality management, after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality management from Florida State University. He also has a Master’s Degree in food service management from Cornell University. He was born in Damascus, Syria and grew up in Florida.
