Chris Ehmann has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok and DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit

In this role, Ehmann will lead the team in preparation of the openings of the DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit in April 2013 and the Hilton Sukhumvit in May 2013, develop both hotels’ vision and strategy, as well as oversee hotel operations.Ehmann has over 20 years of international hotel experience and first joined the Hilton Worldwide family in 1999 as Director of Operations at Athenee Palace Hilton in Bucharest, Romania. He subsequently held the same position in a number of Hilton Worldwide properties including Jeddah Hilton, Jumeirah Hilton and Nile Hilton. He was also General Manager at Hilton Adelaide. Ehmann was most recently General Manager of Hilton Petaling Jaya in Malaysia where he played an integral role in overseeing a US$20 million renovation as well as the repositioning of the hotel which resulted in a 20% increase on the average room rate.
