ASCOTT has named Jean Keijdener general manager for Thailand, in which role he will oversee the operations of Ascott's nine properties in the country. Bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Keijdener was last Ascott's country general manager for South Korea, managing the 440-unit Somerset Palace Seoul. He has also held senior management positions in companies such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, in countries including Bahrain, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Tahiti, the Netherlands, the US and Vietnam.
