Mr. Melgar has spent more than 14 years in financial analytics in the lodging industry. Before the move to Hotel Equities, he served six years as Senior Vice President, Controller and Asset Manager for Premier Hotel Corporation, a full-service management company based in Atlanta. Previously, he worked as the Senior Analyst for Six Continents Hotels supporting Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza and all of their franchise operations in Mexico. Before that, he spent two years as the Senior Analyst with the southeast regional office of Choice Hotels International. Mr. Melgar is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Accounting. An avid runner and fitness guru, Mr. Melgar also enjoys golf and playing trumpet. He and his wife Linda are the parents of two children. Active in the children’s ministry at his church, he and his family reside in Suwanee, Georgia.
