Raffles Singapore has announced the appointment of Christian Westbeld as Hotel Manager with effect from 1 June 2013. Prior to joining Raffles Singapore, Mr Westbeld held the position of Resident Manager at Raffles Beijing, China where he was a cherished member of the team. Christian, who is from Germany, has been with Raffles Hotels & Resorts for the last six years. He started his career in 1995 in Food & Beverage, and has since garnered many years of invaluable work experience with leading hotels across Asia and the Middle East, including The Peninsula, Manila and The Fairmont, Dubai. In 2007 Christian joined the Raffles family as part of the pre-opening team for Raffles Dubai and since then has been a key member of the Raffles team working as Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage at Raffles Singapore and most recently as Resident Manager for Raffles Beijing.
