The prestigious four star George Hotel in Edinburgh, part of the award winning PH Hotels group, has announced the internal promotion of Douglas Campbell to hotel manager following 4 years with the company as Director of Regional Sales. Douglas has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry having previously worked for high profile companies including Hilton and Sodexo Prestige before joining PH Hotels in 2008 as Director of Regional Sales. In addition to looking after The George Hotel, Douglas also played a pivotal role in the £20m refurbishment of the iconic Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. Douglas studied Glasgow College before going onto start his career at the Moat House in Glasgow. Douglas is also currently president of the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (Site Scotland) and was recently awarded PH Hotel Rising Star Medal 2013.
