As inaugural Dean, Davey will be responsible for leading GIHE’s academic team in London as they oversee their first 2013 student intake. Davey is a prolific academic and seasoned hospitality management professional, with over 25 years’ experience in the industry, including Hilton International and the Adams Group.
Davey’s first role in education was as a professor at University College Suffolk, where she spent eight years delivering a portfolio of degree courses in Hospitality, Leisure & Tourism. In 2001 she joined Les Roches International School of Hotel Management School as professor of Human Resource Management in the BBA program. She was also instrumental in developing curricula for the Les Roches Jin Jiang branch campus in Shanghai, China. In 2006, Davey joined Ecole Hotéliere de Lausanne as a senior consultant, responsible for the development of the Executive Education Programme worldwide. She also worked as a consultant to develop accredited hospitality management schools around the globe, including Brazil, Kazaksthan, Lebanon and Mexico.
