Filippo La Mantia has been appointed as Executive Chef at Jumeirah Grand Hotel via Veneto

Filippo La Mantia
Born in Palermo, Sicily, Filippo La Mantia settled in Rome and has extensive experience in the industry. In his new position, he will run the hotel’s two main restaurants ‘Magnolia’ and ‘Time’, ensuring consistent high quality food and service. Filippo brings the authentic essence of Sicily into the kitchen - colours, fragrances, fun and a great zest for life. He regards cooking as an art, a source of energy and inspiration, and sees food as a universal language. In 2007 Filippo’s book ‘Host & Chef’ was published and his career has also inspired a film called ‘All the Women of My Life,’ which includes an account his role as chef to the well-known Italian actor Luca Zingaretti.
