Prior to joining Regent, Mr. Mayer was director of sales and marketing at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi, where he focused on the collective goals of the luxury hotel chain. Previously, Mayer served as director of global sales worldwide for Vienna International Hotels & Resorts, Austria and cluster director of sales for Hilton Mainz International, among others. Mr. Mayer holds his masters in hospitality management from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and a business studies degree in economics, marketing and sales from VWA Frankfurt, Germany.

Rene Mayer is an alumnus of Cornell | Executive and Professional Education – Class of 2013.
