Cobern commenced her tenure at Choice Hotels in 1998 when the hotel franchise group first launched to the Australasian market and has held the positions of Senior Sales Manager-Inbound, Senior Director-Sales and for the past eight years, General Manager, Sales & Marketing. Cobern (who is also the current Chairman of the Vic/Tas branch of ATEC and a national board member for ATEC), has been at the forefront of sales and marketing for Choice Hotels throughout her 16 year tenure, and says that she is keen to make the new role her own and is excited about the prospect of implementing new strategies across all of Choice Hotels’ distribution channels.
