Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, announces the appointment of Rachel Watroba as digital marketing manager of the 40-acre, beachfront resort destination on Maui. Watroba joins Grand Wailea at a new phase of growth with its new internal teams and owner, the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), committed to investing financial resources to maintain Grand Wailea’s position as one of the top island resorts in the world.
Watroba will be responsible for strategy execution of email marketing, social media and online advertising for maintaining Grand Wailea’s messaging across multiple platforms.
Most recently, Watroba spent three years as the digital marketing manager at the MGM Grand Detroit performing similar functions. Prior to this position, she was an Internet marketing contractor working as a specialist for clients in the Detroit area.
New to Maui, the Michigan native is a graduate of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich. and a newlywed. Watroba and her husband are looking forward to exploring Maui with their two Humane Society Rescues, Olivia and Gibbs.
