Sage Hospitality has named Frederick J. Kleisner II as the Area Managing Director overseeing The Oxford Hotel and the new 112-room Crawford Hotel, an independent hotel opening in Denver’s revitalized Union Station this July. A fifth-generation hotelier with 23 years experience at the upper end of the industry, Kleisner brings a lifetime of knowledge and experience to The Oxford and Crawford hotels. Prior to coming to Denver, Kleisner opened and spent six years as the General Manager of Portland’s award-winning the Nines, a Starwood Luxury Collection Hotel that is also managed by Sage Hospitality. “We are thrilled to have Fred’s strong leadership skills as we prepare to open The Crawford this summer,” said Sage Hospitality President and CEO Walter Isenberg. “He has exhibited tremendous leadership in all aspects of luxury hotel operations, enabling him to effectively identify traveler needs, understand market trends and formulate innovative changes to maintain and grow market share. He also has a unique understanding of what it takes to open a highly anticipated hotel like The Crawford.”
