Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has named Alessandro Maurizio Cabella as general manager of the hotel, which has led the way in unforgettable service and authentic moments for 50 years in the Eternal City. The native Italian joins the property with 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry with a strong focus in Europe. Cabella will direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the landmark hotel. Cabella has been in the Hilton family for 10 years during which he managed the launch of Conrad Algarve in 2012 and most recently acted as the general manager for Hilton Molino Stucky Venice. His general manager experience also includes stints at the Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa in Portugal and Hotel Mirabeau - Société des Bains de Mer Monte Carlo in Monaco. As general manager of Hilton Molino Stucky Venice, Cabella was awarded “General Manager of the Year Europe 2013” by the distinguished British publication Business Destinations, as well as Italy’s and Europe Leading Conference Hotel at the World Travel Awards Europe 2013.
