The Doyle Collection has announced the appointment of Esther Lapole, Director of Sales for The Kensington Hotel. Esther will oversee the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy, managing international interest in the hotel, developing its existing client base and introducing the hotel to new markets. Her appointment coincides with a substantial refurbishment project that will see the ground floor area of the elegant boutique property undergo a complete transformation. Having recently launched The Kensington Suite, London’s largest townhouse suite, the refurbishment project is the next step in The Doyle Collection’s ongoing investment in its flagship London property. Esther’s wealth of experience in luxury hospitality from her time at The Private Label Company, JG Black Book and Denihan Hospitality Group, will serve the company well as it repositions itself within the international luxury travel sector.

Jurys Doyle Hotel Group operates seven hotels and six inns in Ireland. The Group portfolio in the United Kingdom encompasses six hotels and twelve inns with an additional four inns scheduled by 2007. In the United States there are three hotels in Washington and one in Boston. In all, the Group currently has 7,778 rooms with an additional 1,317 planned by 2007. 44% turnover is generated in Ireland, 46% in the UK and 10% in the USA.
