From Andermatt, Switzerland, Alain Bachmann is moving from his previous role as general manager of the award-winning Chedi Andermatt to The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah, Ubud, one of the most highly acclaimed properties on Bali. In Switzerland, Bachmann ushered the 105-room Chedi Andermatt onto the world stage as one of 2013’s most significant debuts, including recognition on Travel + Leisure’s It List and Condé Nast Traveler’s Hot List. Prior to his work in Andermatt, the Swiss native honed his management skills at the Peninsula Chicago, the Mandarin Oriental Washington D.C. and the Ritz-Carlton Moscow.
