Shane Ewald will be moving to Southern California from the Chicago area, where he served as the general manager of the Residence Inn Chicago Deerfield. He also was the assistant general manager at the Deerfield hotel. Ewald started his Marriott career as the operations manager at the Courtyard Cincinnati Blue Ash in Ohio before moving to Chicago in 2008, where he held the position of assistant banquet manager at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare. As the general manager of the Residence Inn Chicago Deerfield, Ewald received top awards for increasing the revenue-per-available-room index as well as sales growth year over year. Ewald, who received his bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and his MBA from Northern Kentucky University, enjoys playing golf and attending concerts and sporting events. He also enjoys traveling with his wife, Rachel, whom he married in 2013.
